Postal

So today I made friends with the grumpiest post office guy on earth. He crabbed at me for mailing gifts to my mother. Then he told me to go to a part of the base where a bazaar was happening. He instructed me to only shop for an hour and a half and to get myself back to the post office with everything and cash for shipping by a certain time. I complied and beat the rush back of others with their spoils to ship. He inspected all my purchases, grouching about whether the people recieving them would like them. Then he grumbled me thru the customs forms. :)





Amazingly, albeit after some fuss, he posed for a photo.

Takes a village...

They say it takes a village to raise a child. Today I learned that it takes an entire airplane to support a deployment- plus airport staff, hotel staff, etc.



People had to be patient and kind with me all day. Finally, I arrived in Baltimore.
