UAE Day 14: going postal

Dubai Central Post Office, but no one calls it that just to add in some confusion in case you were trying to drive there.
I proposed, very politely, to an in-charge-ish worker that I simply just take up residence in the mail room.   All my stuff was there anyway, there was free water, and I could sleep on the mail- no need to sort out other accommodation.  He said no.

Just pay a hundred dollars per box in customs fees, pay storage fees, pay postage fees (WHY do i have to buy stamps for something that is done being mailed?  SERIOUSLY?!)  3 of the 7 employees it took to deal with my mail.

Nearly 4 hours later, finally the boxes and I exit the building.
